Lightning vs. Bruins NHL Pick – October 17th

With a 2-0 on previous night NHL program, I got back on course Following an night on Tuesday with my NHL selections.
The initial win of the night came between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals who pushed the total above 6.5 with a 4-3 Capitals win.
The pick looked never during the Maple Leafs really constructed an early lead until the Capitals got within one to go in the initial phase. That said, the Capitals scored three goals to set the game with almost half a match to go. An overdue John Tavares strike to get Toronto inside one was exactly what we had to notch the above at -125 chances, although things began to get a little tense down the stretch as the score remained to the next.
Our triumph came after in the evening between Anaheim Ducks and the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres entered this one undefeated with a record on this season in regulation, but my hat hung to John Gibson’s job and I was honored by him. Gibson turned aside 34 of 36 Sabres shots (.944 Sv5percent ), although the Ducks’ crime delivered Buffalo their defensive regression I had been anticipated with a five-goal outburst at a 5-2 Ducks triumph at -130 odds.
It had been just exactly what the doctor ordered to rebound from a Tuesday. I have a trio of picks going on this nine-game NHL schedule tonight, and the first of which will be a titanic struggle in the TD Garden at Boston between Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Lighting vs. Bruins NHL Pick:
A couple of Atlantic Division Stanley Cup contenders butt heads yelling in Boston.
One year ago it was not the best of starts for the Lighting this year following a record-setting 62-win regular season. Final Thursday, before putting the boots into the Maple Leafs 7-3 the Lightning started the season 1-1-1. Still, the Lightning followed that up with a loss to the Ottawa Senators . The season continued in beantown since the wrap their lengthy six-game road trip tonight with a 3-1 win in Montreal on Tuesday.
For whatever reason, the Lighting aren’t currently winning the ownership battle . They go into this one ranked 29th with a 45.3% Corsi For% at strength this year while their 25.7 shots per game on the season ranks 30th, ahead of just the 25.6 shots the Edmonton Oilers ordinary this year. Early-season stats can be misleading and no way indicative of future functionality I believe we can all agree this team isn’t likely to continue to be outplayed at strength much longer.
After all, there has been nothing wrong with the outcomes on crime since Tampa Bay ranks first with 3.83 goals per match this season and they have a +5 objective differential despite having a weaker-than-expected 3-2-1 markers to start the season. Their power play is also clicking along in a healthier 31.3percent clip, however it has been their own penalty kill that’s hurt them most with a 73.9% markers while shorthanded this year.
For the Bruins, it’s been a powerful start to the season as they sit with a 5-1-0 set around six matches on the year with a +6 goal differential. Boston is a at home that season. Wins and are wins and they all account for 2 points in the standings, but the Bruins’ schedule hasn’t been the row to start the season of murderer. They have wins over the Stars, Coyotes, Devils and Ducks so far this year. While the Ducks are a projected non-contender despite a solid start the first three clubs have combined on the year. They also have a road win in Vegas, but lost their game on the year against a Colorado team that is demanding.
Nonetheless, there’s very little doubt this Bruins team gets the upside to return back into the Stanley Cup Final this time around. They are not light it up offensively with just 2.67 goals per game (21st), however they have been stout on the back ending together with their 1.67 goals against per game representing the best mark in the NHL at the moment. Again, while we all know the Bruins are a good defensive hockey team, they have faced the bottom 3 offenses in the league at the Stars, Coyotes and Devils while the Ducks are tied to 22nd. Naturally, that Tampa offense is going to be a test for that which should remain one of the league’s better defenses because the year moves along.
Getting the nod in goal tonight for the Bruins will be Tuukka Rask who is off to a wonderful start this year with a perfect 3-0-0 mark to go along with a 1.33 GAA and .957 Sv% in wins on the Stars, Golden Knights along with Devils. But, Rask has his problems with the Lightning before, most recently going 1-3-0 using a 3.55 GAA and .860 Svpercent from them in four starts a year past. He possesses a 2.64 GAA and .901 Svpercent in his career against Tampa Bay.
This is supposed to be one heck of a baseball game between the best teams from the NHL. The Lightning have played five straight on the street but I really do believe they pull the small mad tonight. They’re hungry and healthy to start racking up wins on their trajectory to the Atlantic Division’s top. The Bruins don’t have to plead for beating clubs that are poor, but outside of a road game in Colorado that they have yet to be examined this year. In +100, I enjoy the odds I’m not sure we will see them as an underdog for quite a while and we’re becoming on this Lightning team right now. It has been a rocky start, but offer me the quad as road underdogs to pull off the angry tonight.
