Sky Sports’ David Jones walking three marathons for School Aid India

Sky Sports presenter David Jones is taking advantage of an ancient fracture in the Premier League season, but he won’t have his feet up.
Rather, Jones will climb three marathons climbing over 2,000 feet a day – taking in portions of the Cleveland Way and the North Yorkshire Moors – scaling Ben Nevis’ equal twice.
School Aid India – set up by Jones’ mom Helen – provides education for kids in Darjeeling, in the Indian Himalayas. Through fund raising she helped to erect a college building that’s now filled with kids that are desperate to understand, day, a few walking miles and night to find an education their households was possible.
Not a cent comes out of the government; tools all the instruction, books, as well as computers, are provided from the charity, however, the outcomes have been extraordinary.
Roseberry School – appointed after the unusual hill Roseberry Topping that sits above the North Yorkshire village in which Jones grew up – now homes 140 kids in seven decades, providing them.
Jones stated:”It’s an amazing success story but its own survival relies entirely on donations – School Aid India is conducted by volunteers including my mum – and each and every cent goes directly to the faculty.
“Think about it like this:
#20 would provide a school uniform to one child that would fulfill them
1 class would be supplied by # 50 with a Wide Selection of books
#2250 would pay a teacher’s salary for the entire calendar year.”
The charity has successfully completed the , and build of some brand new school wing to kit outside the construction they’re looking for a carefully costed #7,590 to provide other resources , new novels, an IT facility, musical instruments, sports equipment and furniture.
