How each club’s Futures Game prospects fared

ATHLETICS – Jorge Mateo, SS, OAK No. 8: Mateo provided a spark off the bench with one in his first at-bat, although he was not able to bring home the game-winning run from second base at the bottom of the eighth, flying out to centre in his next plate appearance.
BLUE JAYS – Nate Pearson, RHP, TOR No. 2 | MLB No. 41: Pearson was dominant during his aid appearance, striking out two of the three batters he faced in a scoreless top of the fifth.
INDIANS – Nolan Jones, 3B, CLE No. 2 | MLB No. 43: Jones led off the bottom of the third but was not able to begin a rally, grounding out to the pitcher in his just at-bat. Daniel Johnson, OF, CLE No. 22: Johnson showed off his aggressiveness by glancing at the first pitch he saw, grounding out to shortstop in his solitary plate look.
MARINERS – Jarred Kelenic, OF, SEA No. 1 | MLB No. 24: Kelenic struck the ball hard in all three of his at-bats but did not receive any hits to show for it, lining out two and flying out into his other plate look. Justin Dunn, RHP, SEA No. 2 | MLB No. 67: Dunn followed up Deivi Garcia’s strong beginning with a scoreless second inning, which was highlighted by his strikeout of Reds No. 1 prospect/MLB No. 27 prospect Taylor Trammell. Dunn did hit Pirates No. 12 prospect Will Craig with two outs, but recovered to retire Cardinals No. 2 potential Dylan Carson on a flyout to center. Evan White, 1B, SEA No. 5 | MLB No. 81: White made great touch in his lone at-bat, scorching a line drive to left that was gloved by Trammell to end the bottom of the second.
