QPR held off a second-half fightback to beat Luton 3-2 and clinch a third consecutive Sky Bet Championship triumph.
Nahki Wells scored since the London side raced to a three-goal lead at which Ebere Eze even scored – and was twice denied by the woodwork.
However, Luton were gifted a way back into the match when Rangers keeper Joe Lumley strangely played with the ball to Harry Cornick, that helped himself to some goal nine minutes prior to half-time.
QPR held although james Collins pulled another back in the second half for the Hatters early.
Eze netted unleashing a right-footed shot from 25 yards which keeper Simon Sluga ought to have kept out and amassing the overhaul of Ilias Chair but could only turn into the web.
Toni Leistner’s chunk set up Rangers’ moment for Wells, who controlled his chest and fired into the back corner.
Sluga pushed the thunderous left-footed strike of Eze on to the pub Since the home side continued to dominate.
And the pub was rattled again soon afterwards – this time by Eze’s header in Ryan Manning cross.
The Eze threaded a pass through to Wells, who slotted Sluga for his fourth goal in seven appearances since returning for another season on loan from Burnley.
Lumley obtained his attempted pass to Manning all wrong and Cornick raised the ball into an unguarded net, although at that point it was one-way traffic.
Collins’ goal – his fifth of the season – three minutes after the period further raised the hopes of pulling off an unbelievable comeback of Luton.
Andrew Shinne swung the ball in from the left and Cornick in the far post nudged it back.
Jordan Hugill creating a mess of opportunities to extend their lead not aided QPR’s stress.
Even the on-loan West Ham striker scooped the ball over the pub first by Manning, after being put up from Eze and later.
Hugill was in fine form, scoring four times in his past three outings, but that is.
Izzy Brown delivered a shot wide Since Luton hunted to get a late equaliser, Yoann Barbet challenge denied Collins and Lumley was down quickly to keep out a shot from substitute George Moncur.
