The replica watch is really a wonderful luxury timepiece that comes with a classic look, even though it’s just a creation from a new replica watch maker. The name of the new replica watch brand is Ateliers DeMonaco, and is meant to be a combination of swiss replica watch making essence with Monaco style and attitude. The replica watches come in different forms with the square versions being my favorite. They are characterized by three different styled faces in a variety of colors. The faces have either roman or Arabic numerals, or pictured with simple hour markers. These are some of the first real images of the replica watch after its releasing that I’ve seen and I have to confess that I am totally impressed. Not only does the face and dial look amazingly elegant, but look at that embellished movement and rotor! Seeing such high engraved and polished rotors is very rare. Being able to afford them is possibly just as rare. You can read a bit more about this creation where I discussed DeMonaco replica watches on Luxist.com here.
The special model show’s full title is Atelier DeMonaco Carree d’Or Black Pearl Grand Tourbillon XP watch, however you can just call it the Carree d’Or, or Black Pearl for short (Europeans and their titles…). Grand Tourbillon XP is about the movement, which is really very funny. The tourbillon cage is nicely balanced and crafted with a titanium inner frame. The Tourbillon Bridge is transparent and is a sapphire crystal. Therefore, this offers the replica watch a floating movement look. The movement also comes with a silicuim escape wheel and lever. The movement is almost totally visible, and you can see right through the model via the lower part of the face. The dial of the replica watch is characterized by faceted gold indexes, while the dial is done in mother of pearl and onyx. Surely, the movement is also an automatic which is very beautiful. Overall, this is just a great looking movement.
The 18k rose or white gold case is 44.3mm wide by 48mm tall – a tremendous big size for a substantial watch. The timepieces will be available in a limited edition of only 18 sets, but that should be per a model. There is something that extremely old world about the design, however the cut-away of the face as well as the design of the movement is more contemporary. I think that DeMonaco did a nice job trying to reinterpret the “substance” of Monaco in this model. Like I said before on Luxist, the case and look seem to be more architecturally inspired versus traditionally horologically inspired, and it is a refreshing change of pace done well. This creation can be another excellent model as a very contemporary token in the big family of luxury replica watches.
