Phil Neville says he is”100 per cent happy” because England Women’s boss despite connections into this United States Women’s vacancy.
Ahead of Tuesday’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Norway in Bergen, it was reported Neville was the number one goal of world champions.
However, when asked about the rumours following the match, Neville – who is defined to be in control of a Great Britain team in the summer’s Tokyo Olympics – stated:”I have been linked with a number of jobs since becoming England manager and that’s because my players have been so good.
“I have mentioned before, I really like the job I’m doing, it’s a tremendous challenge.
“The players have been heading in the ideal direction and I get endorsed unbelievably by the FA. I am 100 per cent happy.”
England’s defeat to Norway means the Lionesses have gone four games without a win since their 3-0 World Cup quarter-final victory.
During Tuesday’s game, the Football Association also announced the following fixture will be a friendly against Brazil at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on October 5.
And Neville said:”We have another game after that that we’ll announce soon, and I’ve mentioned to them we must win both games. We have to start winning games and playing better.”
