Peterborough Chase plan for Bags Groove

Harry Fry has Allowed the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon as This season for Luggage Groove’s Primary target.

The Seaborough trainer plans to give the eight-year-old an outing over hurdles before turning back him to fences for the Grade 2 contest on December 8.
In four of his following five starts early last season, Bags Groove promised victory after suffering defeat on his chasing debut – like two at Grade Two degree – before finishing down the field in the Manifesto Novices’ Chase at Aintree in April.
Fry stated:”The Peterborough Chase is your principal aim for Luggage Groove.
“He could run at Aintree at a Class Two hurdle first. He has won both of his begins at a closed, at Huntingdon and over fences.
“I had been going to visit Ascot for the Grade Two pursue there in November – but that I really don’t fancy taking on Cyrname and Altior.
“We’ve tweaked his palate on the summertime. He had a great first year , and we hope he will keep doing well over them”
After meeting with a drawback, fry’s unbeaten bumper winner Gain was ruled out.
The Paul and Clare Rooney-owned gelding made it three wins from as many starts when giving Noel Fehily the final winner of his career at Newbury in March.
Fry added:”Regrettably Get In The Queue has picked up an injury and will be out before the second half of this year.
“We’ll look forward to seeing him reunite after in the year.”
