England strolled to another Euro 2020 qualifying victory by easing previous Bulgaria
The Three Lions were helped by the aim along with also a Harry Kane hat-trick, two of which came from the playground area of Raheem Sterling.
So is it he hits the back of the net the Tottenham striker has transformed nine from 10 penalties for state and club since the onset of the 2017-18 year?
“I work a little on it,” Kane told BBC Radio 5 Live. “The team we have and also the skill set we’ve got, I think we are going to get quite a lot of penalties at global level.
“We did them on Friday with some of the lads for 20 minutes or half an hour, making sure I felt good over it luckily I put them away now.”
He added:”I always go with my sense – it may be 10, it could be 50, it depends upon how I feel on the day. We have such explosive, skilful players therefore we’re going to have penalties.”
There was little doubt where his efforts were going to find yourself, when Kane awakened to the place from Bulgaria.
Both were unstoppable strikes to each side of the net’s corner, together with goalkeeper Plamen Iliev becoming nowhere near them.
Kane’s conversion rate of 90 percent is far better than that of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 13 from 15 penalties in the last several years and Lionel Messi, who has a lowly rate of 66.7% with missed four of their 12 efforts.
England director Gareth Southgate told BBC Radio 5 Live:”He had been nominated for a good 20 minutes on Friday and with all the procedure he goes through you’re so convinced he is going to connect well and that he makes it tough to know for the goalkeeper where he’s going to place it.
“Of course there’ll always be a second if a goalkeeper creates an excellent rescue, but you are as certain as you can be due to his deliberate exercise.
“He is a great example for any kid”
But It’s a former Tottenham team-mate, now with Schalke, that leads the way as the most prolific striker in the penalty area:
