Southampton’s Mario Lemina set for season-long Galatasaray loan

Turkish giants Galatasaray are hoping to pull off a loan deal Sky Sports News understands.

The 26-year-old was linked with a transfer to Monaco but looks likely to go on a season-long contract for Istanbul.
In August, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl confirmed the Gabon global was likely to leave the club following Lemina was not contained to a camp in Austria.
“He is one of those guys [going to leave],” explained Hasenhuttl. “There are a number of choices for him and it is especially important this character is coming into a crystal clear finish.
“We will have a look what occurs but it is an option that he leaves us at this transfer period.”
Wolves manchester United and Everton had seemed like destinations such as Lemina, but his hopes with some Saints depart over the summer were left at the hands of the clubs following the Premier League’s deadline afternoon passed without a deal.
Because arriving from Juventus at 2017 lemina has made 52 appearances and scored just two goals for Southampton.
