Charles Leclerc says Italian GP win beyond all his Ferrari dreams

Charles Leclerc has confessed the GP and the celebrations that followed surpassed all of his youth dreams, together using Ferrari hero hailed as a’national treasure’ after his victory.
Leclerc was roared on during his epic force at Ferrari’s home race as well as after a massive exhale of humor upon the flag, the 21-year-old was greeted by a sea of red and the famous Tifosi since he stepped on the podium since the Scuderia’s first Monza race-winner because 2010.
A Ferrari fan from age five, leclerc, grew up dreaming about races from reddish – but nothing prepared him for it.
“It’s gone beyond all the dreams I’d had as a child,” said Leclerc. “To see all of the folks for one group, singing completely – it’s remarkable.
“I have never been around a podium with all these people beneath it and to understand that the entire straight was filled with people – 99 per cent red – it was great to see. Hearing them singing… there was only a lot of emotions.”
Leclerc was heralded as a potential world champion together with the youngster since Valtteri Bottas, after which Lewis Hamilton, threw everything to acquire past withstanding a Mercedes barrage.
Even Mercedes boss Toto Wolff insisted”Ferrari have an upcoming good.”
Leclerc admitted his defence from Hamilton was”really on the limit”, but also that he’d do anything to never let this opportunity pass. “But it was quite tough to remain concentrated on driving, seeing just how much motion there was in the grandstand.”
Leclerc added to Sky F1:”It’s the first time in my profession that I actually look at the grandstand while driving, that is normally not so great but I just had no choice.
“They were simply jumping and cheering all race long, it was great to see. Simply to triumph here feels very, very special.”
The Ferrari victory of leclerc did earn praise from fans, fans and team bosses – but from Italy’s newspapers on Monday.
He was heralded by la Gazzetta dello Sport as a’national treasure’.
Corriere dello Sport crowned’king’ Leclerc, while claiming the age had begun.
Leclerc became the second-youngest driver at Ferrari’s history when he combined this year following a dazzling rookie season in F1 and said wins such as Monza revealed he had been”more ready than some people thought”.
“It’s been an easy start to the season, there’s been some errors,” he told reporters on Sunday night. “However, I think I have grown.
“I understood that the critics of last year, me being too young. Season in Formula 1 and in Ferrari was for sure.
“I thank Ferrari for believing in me. I’m really happy to have these types of results to show than some people believed I was maybe more ready.
